The Swim Academy was established in 1996 in Boca Raton, FL. Through the years we have worked tirelessly to produce a curriculum and training style that is both effective, productive and positive. Our approach is individual-centered as opposed to skill-centered. While the initial goal for every new swimmer is to become safe and confident as quickly as possible, The Swim Academy individualizes every swim lesson so each child is challenged to reach his/her potential at his/her own readiness level. Due to this approach we are able to work with students from infancy through their teens and are able to effectively teach the fearful as well as the fearless child. 

The Swim Academy has classes for your swimmer from beginner to swim team. We continue our swimming education through the development of correct and proper stroke swimming and eventual training in competitive swimming.   

We pride ourselves on only hiring the best to teach your child. Our certified coaches use a hands-on approach to help students find their greatest potential. Every background checked, rigorously trained coach is able to adjust and implement our progressive curriculum for your individual.

In an atmosphere of patience, love and fun, each new student can learn-to-swim or learn-to-swim better while building self-esteem in our positive teaching environment.

Nicole is the heart and backbone of The Swim Academy, as she has been teaching swimmers since 2006. Her knowledge is vast, including the ability to glance across the pool and be able to tweak a lesson to help each student and coach individually. Nicole’s ability to read students and find just the right encouragement to help them not only be able to take care of themselves in the water but actually love swimming. Her creativity and passion are her strong suits both at work and in her home. She spends her downtime running around with her 4 dogs: Marley, Betty, Pepper and Ruby which is nearly a full time job on its own.

Chris joined his sister at The Swim Academy in 2016. Coming from a collegiate swimming background, Chris took over as the head swim team coach. His knowledge of stroke development and his hunger to grow that knowledge comes out “loud” and clear as he works with our Water Warriors. And the results show at swim meets and the confident and happy team he brings forth. His broad knowledge of sales and marketing was the perfect addition to this company as we continue to grow. When he’s at home with his wife, Leslie, you can hear him singing along to “Only the Good Die Young” by Billy Joel while snacking on a Snickers bar and being out run by his dog, Jack or wrestling with his new puppy Deebo.

Ms. Pat rounded out this family-owned business when she brought her many years of office management experience to The Swim Academy. After working in the office, the pull of the children brought her into the water. She began working with the infants and toddlers and found she was in her element. “Mighty Mom,” is how she’s known to all the staff. She truly loves her nickname as she adores these children and this wonderful staff. Although of late she is working mostly from home to help build this great business so that she and her husband, Tom can travel in their newly acquired RV and explore her hobby of photography
